International Quality Standards and System Certification ISO for Food Safety, Production and Environmental Respect

Papayas, Certification ISOOsato Fermented Papaya Preparation or FPP®, sold under the brand name Immun’Âge®, is made from non-genetically modified Carica papayas grown on our company contract farm in Hawaii where they are carefully selected by our highly-qualified staff. The department of agriculture of the State of Hawaii (Quality Assurance Division) has certified the Carica papayas that we use as non-genetically modified organisms (non-GMO).

Immun’Âge® does not contain any additives or preservatives. It is produced solely with 100% natural ingredients at OSATO Laboratory Inc., our factory in Gifu, Japan, using a unique fermentation technology.

Immun’Âge® production follows strict international quality standards and was granted the following certifications: ISO 9001:2008 for production, ISO 14001:2004 for environmental respect, ISO 22000:2005 for food safety, and FSSC 22000 for food safety management system, placing us among the first factories to receive this certification.  FSSC 22000:2011

FSSC 22000 is a food safety management system certification based on the internationally recognized standard ISO 22000 (ISO or International Organization for Standardization). Developed by the European Union Foundation for Food Safety Systems, FSSC 22000 defines requirements for integrated processes that work together to control and minimize food safety hazards. It is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The FSSC 22000 management system approach to food safety integrates nicely with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

JIA, one of the organizations officially recognized as an ISO management system registrar in Japan, has granted OSATO Laboratory Inc. with FSSC 22000 in 2011.

ISO 9001:2008 refers to a quality management system. The mission of OSATO Laboratory Inc. is to manufacture Immun’Âge® (FPP®, Fermented Papaya Preparation) to satisfy our customers all over with consistent high quality products. To achieve our company goal, our policy is to dedicate constant efforts to maintaining and improving Immun’Âge®quality. OSATO Laboratory Inc. staff conduct regular internal audits to ensure the same procedures are systematically applied and we consistently produce high quality products.

ISO 14001 is a standard for environmental management systems. The aim of the standard is to respect all the applicable laws as well as identify and control our environmental impact in order to live in symbiosis with nature and our community. The fundamental principles at the heart of OSATO Laboratory Inc. environmental management focus on the prevention of global warming and the effective use of limited resources. Our goal is to reduce by 30% our electricity use by implementing measures that follow these principles. We are currently implementing sustainable waste measures in order to use limited resources efficiently and participate in conservation efforts.
